Socks5Proxy

Proxy location selection and country-specific SOCKS5 proxy IPs

Socks5Proxy provides datacenter (47 countries) and ISP proxies (19 countries). Choose single-country plans or mixed-country IP bundles with SOCKS5/HTTP support.

Why does proxy location matter?

Websites adjust content by visitor IP country - search rankings, e-commerce prices/inventory, ads, language/currency, shipping options all vary. To verify or collect localized content, you need IPs from target countries.

Proxy location affects speed. When your server, proxy, and target site are geographically closer, round-trip time decreases. Choosing optimal locations lets you process more requests for the same task.

How do country selection and mixed IP bundles differ?

All IPs in the plan originate from your selected country - ideal for country-specific results like US search rankings or German e-shop prices.

Mixed IP bundles combine datacenter IPs from multiple countries into one list. Ideal for distributed crawling, public data collection, and connection testing where request distribution matters more than location. Available in shared datacenter proxies.

Can I select by city?

Each country has IPs clustered in specific cities. The US has IPs in New York, Ashburn, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Miami, Seattle, and more - listed on country pages. Your proxy list displays country and city per line.

City data helps minimize latency. If your server is in US East, use Ashburn/NYC IPs; for US West, choose Los Angeles/Seattle IPs.

Which location is best for reducing latency?

Best locations are near target sites' servers. European sites benefit from Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London IPs (major internet hubs). Asian sites perform best with Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong IPs.

For tasks requiring country-specific results, location takes priority over speed. In such cases, placing your server closer to the target country or increasing concurrent connections to match throughput is recommended.

Should I choose datacenter or ISP IPs?

Datacenter proxies are the most affordable and fastest for bulk collection/automation. ISP proxies use static residential IPs, ideal for sites prioritizing IP trust (e.g., e-commerce, social media accounts).

Proxy types vary by country: some offer both datacenter and ISP IPs, some only datacenter, and some (like South Korea/Hong Kong/Colombia) only ISP IPs. Country pages show available products and starting prices.

How do I choose the country order?

  • First, check if the results vary by country. If they do, choose that country; if not, a mixed IP bundle works well.
  • Check if target sites evaluate IP trust. For account logins, ISP or dedicated proxies work best.
  • Choose countries with cities close to your task server for better speed.
  • Determine your IP needs and choose monthly/annual plans. Annual payments get 30% off.
  • After purchase, download your proxy list or fetch it via API for immediate connection.

What's the difference between shared, private, and dedicated proxies?

Shared plans (max 3 users/IP) offer bulk IPs at lowest cost - ideal for location-intensive scraping via mixed or single-country pools.

Private (max 2 users) and dedicated (single user) proxies keep traffic isolated - ideal for logged-in sites or tools with IP allowlists. Unlimited bandwidth supports long sessions.

Example setup for using multiple countries together

For multi-country tasks (e.g., price comparisons), small country-specific plans work best. Example: Run the same script with US/UK/DE/JP IPs, tagging outputs by country.

Filter /proxies lists by country/protocol. Downloaded lists include country/city per line for easy sorting.

Same Connection Method Everywhere?

Connection methods are identical across countries. Each line includes separate HTTP/SOCKS5 ports, with auth via username:password or IP authorization (max 10 IPv4). Lists support ip:port:user:pass, user:pass@ip:port, and socks5:// formats.

Current proxy pool covers 50 countries with 586,685 total IPs under consistent connectivity. Check city availability, product types, and use cases per country before selecting plans.
