Buy HTTP Proxy, Static IP Supporting HTTPS
Socks5Proxy is an HTTP proxy service with dedicated HTTP ports on all datacenter/ISP IPs for HTTP/HTTPS(CONNECT) requests. IPs available in 50 countries via monthly/annual plans.
What is HTTP proxy?
An HTTP proxy receives web requests from your browser/program, forwards them to target websites, and returns responses. Target websites see the proxy IP instead of yours.
HTTP proxy is the most widely supported method. OS proxy settings, all major browsers, Python requests, Node.js, cURL, Scrapy, and Selenium work with HTTP proxies without additional packages. Simplest setup for web scraping and API calls.
HTTP proxies require minimal program-side configuration. Most languages/libraries automatically proxy both http/https requests with just one address. OS-wide proxy settings allow multiple programs to share one IP.
Can HTTP proxy access HTTPS sites?
Yes. For HTTPS sites, programs send a CONNECT request to the proxy to open an encrypted tunnel. The proxy only sees the destination address, not page content or login details.
Despite being called HTTP proxies, they work with most HTTPS sites and APIs. In your program settings, entering just one HTTP proxy address handles both http and https requests through the same proxy.
| Request type | Proxy Operation | What the proxy can see |
|---|---|---|
| http:// site | Receive and forward requests | Address and Request Details |
| https:// site | CONNECT tunnel | Target address and port only |
| REST API (https) | CONNECT tunnel | Target address and port only |
Should I use HTTP proxy or SOCKS5 proxy?
For web crawlers, HTTP libraries, or browser automation that only send web requests, HTTP proxies are simplest. Use SOCKS5 when connecting non-web programs, using remote DNS, or when anti-detect browsers recommend SOCKS5.
All Socks5Proxy IPs include both HTTP and SOCKS5 ports - no need for separate purchases to connect tools differently.
If one port doesn't work with your tool, try the other. The IP stays the same - only the port changes, leaving the target site unaffected.
How much does HTTP proxy cost?
HTTP functionality is included in all plans - pricing depends on IP type. Shared datacenter starts at $0.0179/IP/month, shared ISP at $0.1800, with private/dedicated slightly higher for fewer users.
Plans with more IPs get up to 40% off, and annual 12-month payments get an extra 30% discount.
| IP type | User per IP | Starting price per IP/month | Bandwidth |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shared datacenter | Max 3 users | $0.0179 | 1 TB per month included |
| Private Datacenter | Max 2 users | $0.4680 | Unlimited |
| Dedicated datacenter | 1 account | $0.8400 | Unlimited |
| Shared ISP | Max 3 users | $0.1800 | 250GB monthly included |
| Private ISP | Max 2 users | $0.5850 | Unlimited |
| Dedicated ISP | 1 account | $1.51 | Unlimited |
How do I configure HTTP proxy?
Enter the IP, HTTP port, username, and password from your proxy line into your tool's proxy settings. Single-line format: http://USER:PASS@IP:HTTP_PORT. With IP authorization enabled, simply use http://IP:HTTP_PORT after registering your server IPs.
In Node.js: Attach HTTP proxy agents or configure axios's proxy option with host, port, and auth. For Selenium/Playwright, pass proxy server addresses during browser launch (Playwright accepts auth credentials). See tool-specific examples in our guides.
curl -x http://USER:PASS@IP:HTTP_PORT https://api.ipify.orgimport requests
proxy = "http://USER:PASS@IP:HTTP_PORT"
r = requests.get("https://api.ipify.org", proxies={"http": proxy, "https": proxy}, timeout=20)
print(r.text)yield scrapy.Request(url, meta={"proxy": "http://USER:PASS@IP:HTTP_PORT"})export HTTP_PROXY=http://USER:PASS@IP:HTTP_PORT
export HTTPS_PROXY=http://USER:PASS@IP:HTTP_PORTWhat authentication methods does HTTP proxy support?
First method: username/password. Tools send credentials via Proxy-Authorization header, working anywhere - ideal for laptops, servers, or cloud environments with changing IPs.
The second method is IP authorization. Register up to 10 public IPv4 addresses in your dashboard to allow password-free connections from those IPs. Ideal for tools without password fields or browser automation, keeping credentials out of config files.
You can use both methods together: password-free connections from registered IPs, and username/password elsewhere. Registered IPs can be changed anytime in the dashboard.
What tasks commonly use HTTP proxies?
- Web crawling: Use Scrapy, requests, or axios to collect public pages across multiple IPs.
- Price comparison: View product pages with country-specific IPs
- Search Result Collection: Monitor country-specific rankings.
- Distribute API requests: Call rate-limited public APIs across multiple IPs.
- Browser testing: Check regional displays with Selenium and Playwright.
- Company system's fixed egress IP: Use this IP to register in your partner allowlist.
What to do with HTTP proxy 407 response or connection errors?
If the issue persists, contact support via the dashboard and provide the proxy line and error details.
Most tasks start with shared datacenter proxies and move to private or dedicated ones for long-term access or large data volumes. All plans include HTTP ports, so no code changes are needed.
To reduce errors, set a timeout for each request and include retry rules to resend failed requests with a different IP. If errors persist on the same IP, pause it temporarily and continue with the remaining IPs.
- 407 Proxy Authentication Required: Double-check your username and password, or verify if your server IP is registered for IP authorization.
- Connection refused: Check if you entered the HTTP port instead of the SOCKS5 port.
- Timeout: Increase the tool’s timeout to over 20 seconds and try again.
- 403/429 errors from target sites? Increase intervals and distribute requests across IPs.
Do HTTP proxies modify request headers?
HTTPS traffic remains encrypted end-to-end in CONNECT tunnels - proxies can't view/modify headers. Target sites receive original headers with only IP changed to proxy IP.
Even on unencrypted http:// sites, Socks5Proxy adds no headers revealing your original IP. Target sites can’t detect proxy use via headers, treating proxy IPs as direct connections.
Headers like User-Agent, language, and cookies must be set by your program. Mimic real browsers when coding crawlers.
How to use HTTP proxies by country?
When you apply a country filter in the dashboard or API to get a list, it creates separate files by country. For example, checking US prices only loads the US list, while German prices only load the German list.
/proxies returns JSON with country/city data - fetch once and filter programmatically. New plan IPs auto-appear here.
Datacenter IPs span multiple continents; ISP IPs cover key markets. Country/city details are on the locations page.
How do I purchase HTTP proxy?
Sign up with your account token, top up your balance, then select the IP type, country, number of IPs, and duration on the purchase screen. The list is issued immediately upon payment, including both HTTP and SOCKS5 ports.
Minimum top-up: $30. Bonuses scale with amount. Unissued plan funds return to balance.
